Secret Clinical Strength Antiperspirant Deodorant for Women
Clinical Strength Soft Solid, Stress Response, 1.6 Oz, Pack of 3.No doubt it is one of the most loved product among females. Best deodorant for women’s body odor 2022. Here is Buyer’s feedback:
I have sensitive skin and most fragrances give me a terrible headache. This antiperspirant is a dream come true! Living in southeast Texas, where it’s hot most of the year, being sensitive to fragrance has been a huge problem. This product is an excellent antiperspirant/ deodorant with no detectable scent. I hope it remains available forever because I can’t stand the idea of going back to trying to find the lightest scent that’s still effective.

In and of itself, sweating is used to maintain body temperature and skin moisture. “The evaporative coldness of the sweat on the surface of the skin cools down,” explains Dr. med. Lilia Westermann, specialist in dermatology and venereology at the Dermatologikum Hamburg Eppendorf. So, in fact, sweating is a good thing. By the way: did you know that fresh sweat doesn’t smell? The unpleasant smell of sweat only arises when bacteria on the skin break down the sweat. It is best deodorant for women’s body odor 2022 as per reddit feedback.

Why do we usually sweat the most under the arms?
Almost our entire body is covered with sweat glands. “Sweat formation is stronger under the arms because there are a particularly large number of sweat glands close together,” explains Westermann.
How much sweat is normal?
Sure, we sweat when we are hot or when we do sports. The sweating on the palms of the hands, soles of the feet and in the armpits often has an emotional cause, such as fear, tension or the like. Stress sweaters can tackle the root cause of sweating with a psychological technique, such as autogenic training. Spicy foods, caffeine and a range of medications can also stimulate the flow of sweat.
Good to know: Excessive sweating is known as “hyperhidrosis”. It can affect the whole body (generalized hyperhidrosis) or only certain parts of the body (focal hyperhidrosis). Pathological sweating is caused by a malfunction of the sweat glands and is present when the sweating is too high to maintain body temperature and is out of proportion to the emotional tension.
What is the difference between deodorants and antiperspirants?
For many, the difference between deodorants and antiperspirants is not yet quite clear – although three quarters of women are already familiar with it, for men it is only a good half. This is shown by a current Ipsos study commissioned by NIVEA Deo. So what’s the difference?
How does a DEO prevent the smell of sweat?
As already mentioned, the unpleasant body odor only arises when bacteria break down the sweat. A deodorant makes these smells disappear by preventing the multiplication of bacteria with antimicrobial ingredients. This way, sweat is not broken down and there are no unpleasant body odors. At the same time, a deodorant ensures a special freshness thanks to its pleasant fragrance.
In summary, a deodorant prevents the unpleasant smell, but does not reduce the amount of sweat.
How does an antiperspirant protect against sweating?
An anti-perspirant, on the other hand, inhibits perspiration in the areas where it is applied – by up to 70 percent. Aluminum salts are used for this. These narrow the sweat gland outlets. The fact that there is less moisture and a low pH value of the products prevents the multiplication of bacteria. The problem: aluminum salts are suspected to be harmful to health. So far, however, this has not been scientifically proven.
In summary, an anti-perspirant reduces the amount of sweat and therefore sweat stains and unpleasant smells.
Now which is better: deodorants or antiperspirants?
Whether you choose a deodorant or an anti-perspirant is up to you. However, NIVEA’s study results show that almost every second woman is afraid that her deodorant may fail and that she may get sweat stains or even smell. If particularly sweaty situations such as a workout or an important appointment are pending, one in three of those surveyed therefore resort to an anti-perspirant. After all, this not only keeps you odorless, but also dry.
How to use antiperspirants correctly?
Use antiperspirants before bed. Because the sweat glands have a reduced activity overnight, so that the effective aluminum salts can penetrate into the execution ducts of the sweat glands. An antiperspirant is applied to dry, freshly washed skin. Shave the armpits 24 hours beforehand so that the skin is free of irritation when you apply the antiperspirant.
How do you use deodorant so that it works optimally?
Deodorants, on the other hand, can be used several times a day as scooters, pump atomizers, wipes, etc. if tolerated. In addition, deodorants can be safely used on shaved and unshaven areas of skin.
What helps against deodorant stains on clothing?
Lilia Westermann advises to apply the deodorant or antiperspirant thinly and to wait with your upper body clear until it has dried. This way, the ugly yellow spots on white T-shirts don’t stand a chance. Because they are not caused by sweat, but by the reaction that this engages with the deodorant or antiperspirant. This happens when you apply too much or get dressed when your armpits are still wet after application.
Whether you prefer to use a deodorant or antiperspirant is a matter of taste. Unpleasant body odors reliably prevent both types of products. But: You can only counter sweat stains with an antiperspirant, which unfortunately always contains aluminum salts in order to be able to work at all. We have put together the most effective deodorants and antiperspirants for you in the gallery.
